Initiatives in the Mentorship Sub-Committee:

Date with a leader

Date with a leader is a AWC initiative that allows the attendees to participate in an intimate session with selected leaders in the actuarial industry. The event affords the attendees the opportunity to attend a special group mentoring session with the leader for the particular event, by spending time with them and being able to ask specific questions in order to gain deeper insight into their perspective and experiences. Each Date with a leader is limited to a maximum of eight participants.

One-on-one Mentoring network

This initiative connects females in the industry who are looking for female mentors to guide and support them in their career journey. We also provide some ongoing support to the mentors and mentees on how to get the most out of their mentoring relationship.

Masterclasses / Dames of the Round table

These sessions typically cover topics that are relevant to female actuarial professionals and aim to support them in their development in the workplace, in challenges they may encounter both professionally and personally, and to assist them in breaking barriers that they face.
